The Essex Apprenticeship Hub
If you are a 2019 summer school leaver from a school in Essex you can register with the Apprenticeship Promotion and Brokerage Hub vacancy service by email to email@example.com. Once registered, you will receive details of vacancies and will be invited to our events.
- Last year 11,340 Essex residents embarked on an apprenticeship.
- An apprenticeship is a nationally recognised training programme that is open to people aged 16 and over.
- Apprenticeships combine work with study (usually one day a week) where you will work towards relevant professional qualifications which could be a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) or, in some cases, up to Degree level.
- Employers appreciate the benefits of apprenticeships and more and more are seeking to recruit apprentices, offering the opportunity to earn while you learn.
Finding an apprenticeship
The Essex County Council Apprenticeship Hub has written an Apprenticeship Guide aimed at helping to 'kick start' your search. The guide contains information about Training Provisions in your area, contact details of organisations that can help you, tips about how to prepare for an interview and forthcoming recruitment events you can attend.
You can also search for apprenticeships on the National Apprenticeship Service website which shows vacancies in your local area or you can search for a specific role.
Use our toolkit on the side, these resources are designed to help you through the process of applying for an Apprenticeship. We hope you find them useful.
